基本情况:
教育部“长江学者”特聘教授，首届国家杰出青年基金获得者，副校长。1992年获德国柏林工业大学博士学位。
研究方向:
先进智能材料与结构（新型形状记忆合金、磁驱动形状记忆合金、磁致伸缩材料与器件等），高性能高温材料与涂层技术（新型高温金属间化合物材料，热障涂层、准晶涂层等高温防护涂层材料与技术）等。
目前承担的研究课题：国家自然科学基金重点项目，国家自然科学基金、国防"973"课题，国防"十五"预研项目，国家"863"项目等多项课题。
