个人简历(Curriculum)
Pei-Luen Patrick Rau is an Associate Professor at Tsinghua University’s Department of Industrial Engineering, where he co-directs the HCI and Usability lab with Prof. Gravriel Salvendy. He is an Assistant Professor at CYCU"s Department of MIS. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Management, Shih-Hsin University in Taiwan. His areas of expertise are Human-Computer Interaction, User Interface Design, Usability Engineering, and Human Factors Engineering. He holds a Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Taiwan University, and a Master"s and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Purdue University in the USA. Pei-Luen Patrick Rau chaired a session, "Information Association and the Web" in the 8th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI International "99; Munich, Germany, 1999). He is in the host committee of the 5th International Conference on Information Management and Practices (Taipei, Taiwan, 2000). He chaired the session, "Web Usability Practices in Asia" in the 9th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI International "01; New Orleans, US, 2001). He is in the Conference Program Committee of APCHI2002 (Beijing, China, 2002) and APCHI2004 (Rotorua, New Zealand, 2004). Pei-Luen Patrick Rau has consulted and/or lectured to several organizations on human-computer interaction and usability engineering.
